Artist Statement

I use a variety of imagery and self-portraits to give my experiences deeper meaning and narrative. My work explores and exposes the idea of toxic masculinity and machismo. Using various printmaking techniques and my Mexican-American culture, I investigate the contradictions of the masculine and feminine, strong and fragile, experiences that have become part of my identity.
