Jackson Shane is an artist hailing from the small town of Springdale, Arkansas who relocated to Chicago IL to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from Columbia College Chicago which In May of 2023 they received.  Their practice Predominantly focuses on printmaking methods such as relief carvings, etchings, risograph and silkscreen. Depicting Plants, Animals, Bones And Decay in their various forms of Symbiosis. Post Graduation They continued to grow as a printmaker by working at Spudnik Press here in Chicago, as well as pressuring a career as a Tattoo Artist. As of January 2024 they’ve begun their professional journey as a full time Tattooer. In Tandem they sell Prints, Stickers and Screen Printed totes and shirts at local events throughout Chicago and the greater Chicagoland area. They have Prints currently available at SideShow Gallery In Avondale, as well as their website Jacksonshane.com. Their Tattoo artistry is inspired by the graphic nature of screen printing and as both practices continue to grow they aim for them to become more and more informed by one another.
